UPDATE: FL Watermelon Queen courts Wal-Marts

Kaley Jo Harper, the 2008 Florida Watermelon Queen, and her court visited Wal-Mart stores from Tallahassee to Gainesville to discuss the health benefits of watermelons and pass out samples and recipe cards to customers. The demonstrations featured locally-grown Florida watermelons.

Harper was named 2008 Florida Watermelon Queen in March. She is currently attending the East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota studying Oriental Medicine and Health Science.
