Small farm listening sessions planned

The Florida Food Safety and Food Defense Advisory Council has scheduled at least two small farm listening sessions to seek input on food safety requirements for small farm facilities.

The council is to look at regulations that affect the sale of goods at farm stands, farmers markets and other establishments that sell directly to consumers.

The first will be held 10 a.m.-noon, July 22, at the Florida Department of Agricutlure and Consumer Services Doyle Connor Building, 1911 SW 34st St., Gaineville.

The second will be held frpom 10 a.m. to noon, Aug. 3, at the FDACS Doyle Connor Building, 3125 Connor Blvd., Tallahassee.
