University of Arizona researchers stay a step ahead of the food safety curve

University of Arizona Extension researchers are ahead of the Food and Drug Administration when it comes to food safety.

They're already working on a traceback system using bar codes. And they're working on a system that uses RFID (radio frequency identification) technology to track each carton of produce from the field to the store shelves.
