United Potato Growers of America and its grower-members face a massive class-action lawsuit that challenges the cooperative's antitrust exemption.

The suit involves 20 defendants, including General Mills and Dole.

Supporters of United say they're protected under the Capper-Volstead Act of 1922, which allows members of agricutlural co-ops to share marketing information.
