For the first time, Trimble Navigation Ltd. has begun offering an extended warranty on all of its steering and guidance systems.
The Westminster, Colo.-based company discussed the new offerings at the World Ag Expo in Tulare, Calif.
Trimble unveiled two programs—an advanced and an extended program, says Sherry Gardin, of Trimble Protected Global Services in Westminster.
Of the two, the advanced program provides a wider range of coverage than the extended.
Both programs offer four years coverage on hardware defects, transferrable ownership and no deductibles.
The advanced program also offers field labor allowance, normal wear and tear, reasonable environmental damage, coverage of accessories and rapid replacement.
Depending on the user's location, rapid replacement can provide a replacement unit in 24 to 48 hours, Gardin says.
