Study: California delta diversions should be halved to save fish

A study by the California State Water Resources Board says diversions from the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta should be cut in half to save valuable fish populations.

The many of the state's largest water districts, including those that serve farmers, blasted the report, calling it one-sided and saying such cutbacks would devastate the economy.
