Organic food sales continued to grow in 2009

Despite a depressed economy, U.S. sales of organic products continued to grow in 2009, reaching $26.6 billion, according to the 2010 Organic Industry Survey.

Of that, $24.8 billion represented organic food; the remainder was non-food items.
