cherry tomato on the vineCourtesy NunhemsNunhems, the Parma, Idaho,-based vegetable seed division of Bayer, has introduced a new cherry-on-the-vine tomato designed for both open-field and greenhouse production.

The cherry, Nun 09013 TOF, contains some of the same genetics that went into Intense, Nunhem's non-leaking tomato variety, according to a news release.

The new cherry bears 15-18 deep-red fruit of 10-12 grams each along a long vine, according to the product sheet.

The fruit also has high tolerance against cracking.

It does well both under traditional lighting and greenhouse artificial lighting.

It has resistance to tomato mosaic virus, Fusarium races 0 and 1, and Fulvia fulva.
