Modesto, Calif., to study selling treated waste water to drought-stricken farmers

The Modesto, Calif., City Council is moving forward with a study to determine the feasibility of selling treated waste water to farmers who have been hit by federal water cutbacks and the drought.

If the plan comes to fruition, it could benefit both the city and growers, say proponents.
