Low-pressure treatments may fight post-harvest fruit pests

Low-pressure treatments may be an environmentally friendly ways to control post-harvest insect pests of cherries and apples.

A Washington State University has found that changing the normal composition of air created an inhospital environment for pests without over-ripening fruit.

Also participating in the study are researchers from the University of Florida and the Agricultural Research Service.
