Gowan launches potato fungicide

Yuma, Ariz.-based Gowan Co. LLC has launched MonCoat MZ fungicide under a marketing agreement with Nichino America Inc.

MonCoat MZ contains the active ingredients flutolanil and mancozeb, according to a news release.

It offers suppression of several potato diseases, including rhizoctonia (black scurf), Fusarium dry rot and silver scurf.

Gowan will market the fungicide in the major U.S. potato growing regions.
