Republican Candidates in the 4th Congressional District Race blast Dan Newhouse for Patty Murray fundraising event Pasco, Wash. - Republican candidates in Washington State's 4th Congressional District race are blasting Dan Newhouse because of a political fundraising event that his Grant County Chairman, Chris Voigt, held for US Senator Patty Murray on June 30th in Pasco. Some 4th Congressional District Republican candidates are saying that Chris Voigt's support of US Senator Patty Murray is tantamount to Dan Newhouse supporting US Senator Patty Murray. Stated one Republican Congressional candidate, "The 4th Congressional District doesn't need a Republican representative in Washington, DC that apparently has no principles and has people around him who are supporting liberal Democrats....Maybe Dan Newhouse working for former Governor Christine Gregoire for so many years has blurred Dan's identity and he doesn't know if he is a Republican anymore."
