The Washington wine industry has added the interactive online guide, Winerywise, to the existing online sister project, Vinewise.
They are designed to help wineries and growers, respectively, develop sustainable practices, according to a news release.
Winerywise acts as a learning and educational tool to help wineries assess and develop sustainable business practices.
In addition, it includes information used for third-party certifying organizations, such as Low Input Viticulture and Enology (LIVE) and Salmon-Safe.
Development of Winerywise was funded by a specialty crop block grant of nearly $130,000.
In addition, the Washington State Wine Commission, the Washington Wine Technical Group, the Washington Association of Wine Grape Growers and Washington State University provided support for the effort.
