Syngenta logoIf you're used to buying Rogers, Synergene Seed & Technology or Pybas brand vegetable seeds, you may see a new name and label the next time you purchase them.

Greensboro, N.C.-based Syngenta, the parent company, plans to bring all three brands under the Syngenta vegetable seed label this season, according to a news release.

But the dealers who handle the seeds will remain the same.

Inventory with the older names will continue to be sold, but new packaging will carry the Syngenta name.

The move is part of a companywide effort to bring all products, whether seed, crop protection or agricultural technology, under the Syngenta umbrella.

Rogers brand comprises several different vegetable varieties, whereas Synergene and Pybas are solely lettuce seed providers.
