Syngenta adds FarMore treatments to cucurbit seeds

Syngenta Crop Protection, Greensboro, N.C., has added a treatment of FarMore Technology to its cucurbit seed offerings.

Varieties, including melon and squash, receive a FarMore F300 treatment with an option to upgrade to FarMore F1400, according to a news release.

Cucumbers already receive the upgraded treatment.

F300 is a combination of three fungicides—mefanoxam, whcih is marketed as Apron XL; fludioxonil or Maxin 4FS; and azoxystrobin or Dynasty.

They target Rhizoctonia, Fusarium and Pythium.

F1400 contains the three fungicides as well as thiamethoxam, a neonicotinoid marketed as Cruiser 5FS insecticide.
