Researchers seek BMPs for potato psyllid, zebra chip control

A team of Texas AgriLife Researchers and a Texas AgriLife Extension specialist are conducting three separate trials in one field examining potato psyllid control and zebra chip disease transmission.

Much of the research focuses on psyllid thresholds and the best time to begin spraying.

Last year, cost comparisons between commercial and experimental treatments showed as much as $300 difference per acre in pesticide costs.
