The deadline to nominate an industry leader for the Potato Man of the Year or Potato Man for All Seasons award is Dec. 1, just a few days away.
The awards are presented by The Grower and its sister publications, The Packer, in conjunction with the National Potato Council.
The Potato Man of the Year recognizes someone who has devoted an extraordinary amount of time during 2011 to promote a potato industry issue.
Chris Voigt of the Washington Potato Commission recieved the 2010 Potato Man of the Year award for his work to highlight the nutritional content of spuds.
The Potato Man for All Seasons is a lifetime achievement award that recognizes someone who has devoted his or her life to bettering the potato industry.
