David Masser, president and chief operating officer of Sterman Masser Inc., said in a news release the new company is a natural extension of his family’s operations. “We are located within three hours of a significant percentage of potato consumption in the U.S.,” said procurement director Rich Miller in the release.

In addition to serving Masser Potato Farms, the new logistics company is also providing service for Hegins, Pa.-based Keystone Potato Products LLC and the Fresh Solutions Network LLC, according to the release. Sterman Masser Inc. is a partner in the network and is a partner-owner in the related Fresh Solutions Farms LLC.

Fresh Solutions Network, Cincinnati, is a marketing company serving the potato and onion categories in the retail and foodservice sectors in the U.S. and Canada.
