Ohio State University to offer sustainability major

Ohio State University, Columbus, will begin offering an undergraduate major in sustainability this fall.

The new environment economy, development and sustainability major is being jointly offered by the Department of Agriculture, Environmental and Development Economics and the School of Environment and Natural Resources, according to a news release.

The major will provide in-depth training in sustainability and business, environmental economics and policy analysis, and community and international development.

Coursework will include environmental economics, business management, environmental sociology, community and international development, ecological engineering and environmental sciences.

Students can choose to specialize in one of four areas: sustainability and business, environmental economics and policy analysis, community development and international development.
