New Florida citrus committee discusses wide-ranging topics

Appropriately named, the Kitchen Sink Committee—part of the Florida Citrus Commission—talked about everything but the kitchen wash basin at its first meeting recently.

Among the topics was the Florida Citrus Code, Chapter 601, and any possible changes.

Legislation carried by Sen. J.D. Alexander, R-Lake Wales, recently changed part of the citrus code, including reducing the number of commissioners and redrawing district boundaries.
