Monsanto donates cabbage germplasm to North Carolina State University

St. Louis-based Monsanto Co. has donated an extensive collection of cabbage germplasm to North Carolina State University's Plants for Human Health Institute in Kannapolis.

University researchers say they'll use the gift to address the needs of North Carolina's cabbage growers.

The breeding lines had been evaluated in locations throughout the country, including North Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
