MANA to acquire Karmex herbicide from DuPont

The Makhteshim Agan Group, based in Tel Aviv, Israel, plans to acquire DuPont Crop Protection’s global non-mixture diuron herbicide business.

The deal involves rights, registrations and regulatory data for all of DuPont's non-mixture diuron herbicides, including Direx and Karmex brands, according to a news release.

The herbicides control a wide variety of broadleaf and grassy weeds in numerous crops, including fruits, citrus and vegetables.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

In the United States, Makhteshim Agan of North America Inc. is based in Raleigh, N.C.
