Leica releases new GPS RTK base station

Leica Geosystems Pty Ltd., Brisbane, Australia, has released a new RTK base station, marketed under the Leica GeoAce label.

The unit includes multiple positioning modes, open standard formats for cross compatibility, and the ability to import and export data, according to a news relesae.

A built-in radio and modem allow users to communicate through the Internet or by radio.

In addition, the Internet connectivity allows remote servicing and upgrades via Leica Virtual Wrench.

It can be used with global positioning system or GLONASS signals.
