Insecticide registered for Asian citrus psyllids

Chariot insecticideFMC Corp. of Philadelphia received Environmental Protection Agency registration for Chariot insecticide to control Asian citrus psyllid adults and nymphs on citrus during the spring, fall and winter, according to a news release.

The product contains a premix of chlorpyrifos and zeta-cypermethrin, according to the label.

Chariot, a restricted-use material, can be applied by ground or air.

In addition to psyllids, the product controls a host of other pests, including thrips, whiteflies, leafminer adults, orange tortrix and Diaprepes root weevils, according to the label.
