The California State University, Fresno, Foundation recently established the Vincent B. Zaninovich & Sons Endowment Fund to support the university's table grape program.

Earnings from the endowment may be used for faculty salary, travel, teaching activities,  research and other scholarly activities related to table grape production, according to a news release.

The endowment was presented to the university's Department of Viticulture and Enology by Vincent B. Zaninovich, president of the Delano, Calif.-based table grape grower-packer-shipper.

"This industry support from Zaninovich & Sons will provide us with a foundation so we can enhance our commitment to table grape education and research at Fresno State,” Sonet van Zyl, an instructor and table grape researcher, said in the release.
