EPA extends comment period on methyl iodide cancellation petition

The Environmental Protection Agency has extended the deadline to May 13 to comment on a proposal to cancel registration of the soil fumigant methyl iodide, marketed as Midas.

Several environmental groups had petitioned the EPA in late March to cancel the fumigant manufactured by Arysta LifeSciences of Cary, N.C.
