Dry winter in Southwest appears likely

Weather forecasters from the University of Arizona say there's a strong likelihood that La Niña, a weather pattern marked by dry winters in the Southwest, will return this winter.

They blame the same weather pattern for the drought that's plagued Texas, New Mexico and parts of Arizona.
