Cucurbit downy mildew has been found on zucchini and yellow summer squash transplants being sold at some South Carolina big box stores.

The transplants originated from Florida, and South Carolina Extension specialists say they believe some may have already be in homeowners' hands.

The disease was confirmed in Charleston County.
