SV3462 cucumberMonsanto Co., the St. Louis-based parent of Seminis, just released two new downy mildew-resistant cucumber hybrids bred with increased yield potential and a reduced need for fungicidal sprays.

The two hybrids—SV3462CS and SV4719CS—are designed for the slicer market, according to a news release.

They will be offered exclusively with the FarMore F1400 Cucumber Technology from Syngenta Seed Care.

The proprietary seed treatment includes a fungicide and insecticide.
