California plans four farm bill listening sessions

Karen Ross, secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture, will hold four listening sessions to gather input from farmers, ranchers and the public about their priorities for the next federal farm bill, according to a news release.

They are:

• Aug. 22—Sacramento, 1-3 p.m.
California Department of Food and Agriculture

Sacramento, Calif.

• Aug. 29—Fresno, 1-3 p.m.
Fresno County Farm Bureau
1274 W. Hedges
Fresno, Calif.

• Sept. 7—San Diego, 9-11 a.m.
San Diego County Farm Bureau
1670 E. Valley Parkway
Escondido, Calif.

•Sept. 8—Salinas, 3-5 p.m.
Monterey County Agricultural Commissioners Office
1428 Abbott St.
Salinas, Calif.
