California Tree Fruit Agreement may be dissolved

Based on the outcome of two grower referenda, the U.S. Department of Agriculture has ordered the termination of the federal nectarine and peach marketing orders for California.

As a result, the Reedley-based California Tree Fruit Agreement may not be long for this world, depending on the uSDA's recoomendations for the plum marketing order. That order has another three years left.
