CDFA to host Web seminars on citrus compliance agreements

asian citrus psyllidCourtesy Agricultural Research ServiceThe California Department of Food and Agriculture will host two Web seminars for anybody shipping citrus out of Asian citrus quarantine zones.

The seminar also will provide different options for movement of bulk fruit to a receiver inside or outside the quarantine area.

The sessions, held from 3-4 p.m., Oct. 15, and from 3-4 p.m., Oct. 16, will cover the new compliance agreement, according to a news release.

Prompted by the discovery of several Asian citrus psyllids, the state has enacted quarantines around Dinuba, Exeter, Porterville and Wasco.
