Boyton Beach student wins FFVA ag scholarship

Chris MignanoCourtesy SyngentaBoynton Beach, Fla., resident Chris Mignano received a $5,000 scholarship from the Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association.Christian Mignano, a University of Florida junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in agricultural operations management, received the Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association education scholarship.

The $5,000 award was sponsored by Syngenta Crop Protection, Greensboro, N.C., and presented at FFVA's annual meeting, Sept. 24, in Amelia Island, Fla., according to a news release.

The annual scholarship, now in its 10th year, is awarded to a high school senior or college student pursuing a career in agriculture.

Applicants must attend or plan to attend one of the target Florida universities.
