Analysis: Homeland Security ignored agricultural inspections

In the years after 9/11, Department of Homeland Security inspectors were so engrossed in stopping terrorists that they ignored terrorists of another sort—agricultural pests.

An analysis by the Associated Press found border-protection officials all but ignored inspecting items for insects or plant diseases.
