California honors six IPM innovators

The California Department of Pesticide Regulation has honored six groups as 2010 integrated pest management innovators, including three agricultural entities.

Among those receiving the honors are Dixon Ridge Farms, an organic walnut grower and processor in Yolo and Solano counties; Bonterra Vineyards, a Fetzer-owned winegrape operation in Mendocino County; and SureHarvest of Soquel, which helps groups develop and monitor sustainability programs.

The recipients will be recognized Jan. 27.
