Online calculator helps users figure drip irrigation timings
El Cajon, Calif.-based Toro has developed an online calculator to help users of its Aqua-Traxx Premium Drip Tape determine system application rates and run times.
Users can access the calculator at www.toromicroirrigation.com or www.dripirrigation.org using either a computer or a smart phone, according to a news release.
Then they choose the Aqua-Traxx model, enter the tape inlet pressure, tape lateral spacing and drip system emission uniformity.
The computer program returns the application rate per hour and the time you would need to run the system to apply 0.1 inch of water and 1 inch of water.
