Flexible three-wheel tower
Reinke Manufacturing Inc. of Deshler, Neb., has introduced the Flexible Three-Wheel Tower, which improves traction in tough soils by keeping all three tires on the ground.
The unit is designed for use with center-pivot irrigation systems.
The patented design helps distribute a more even load among the three wheels, according to a news release. This helps increase flotation while at the same time reduce compaction and wheel ruts.
The tower base is wider than most, allowing it to cross obstacles where standard towers may become stuck or high-centered.
The unit uses standard drive-train components.
