California approves fungicide for Alternaria in almonds

The California Department of Pesticide Registration has approved th euse of Inspire fungicide from Syngenta Crop Protection for use against Alternaria in almonds.

The fungicide contains the active ingredient difenoconazole, a member of the triazole fungicide family.

Inspire had been used under a Section 18 emergency use permit in 2008 and 2009, according to a news release.
