Expanded farm tire line-up

Des Moines, Iowa-based Goodyear Farm Tires has expanded its Optitrac line of radial agricultural tires to include self-cleaning treads and improved mold and shape.

The tires now have a 25 percent deeper lug compared with conventional R-1 tires, according to a news release.

The result is more aggressive traction for heavy tillage applications. It also means better tread wear.

The tires also feature a 45-degree tread lug angle, which promotes more open space between lugs for better cleaning and improved traction.
